That's just the help I needed! Thanks very much for that.
There is a local branch of RS Components here [they really hate me, because 
most of the stuff I order, like 45 weird capacitors, is out of stock, and 
they have to then deliver it for free :) ]

I've narrowed it down to one of these two types: [I'd be much obliged if 
you could take a look]
