	Surprised that Terry let this slip through, but can't help commenting. 
I agree with Antonio completely.  Unlike what you apparently believe,
almost all REAL engineers (young ones at least) are always looking for
new and innovative ways to do things.  Unfortunately, real engineers are
bound by reality and the real and immutable laws of nature.  If it's
impossible, it will stay impossible.  If it's possible, someone will
achieve it by design or by accident.  It's been over a century since
Tesla first proposed his "wireless" transmission systems and, in spite
of the tremendous personal financial rewards which would come to someone
reducing it to practice, no one has done it and no one ever will.  His
scheme - to carry energy by means of an ionized layer of atmosphere,
with return via the earth - is plainly spelled out in his writings, and
it has several technical flaws which are quite amenable to analysis.
Dream all you wish............... It isn't going to happen.
