Yea, the problem could be that the static gap is overheating and becoming
more lossy...try blowing a couple of fans over it, or using a compressor. I
don't think it's the chokes, cause then the problem would occur from the
start, and not 5sec into operation. Try the air solution, if it doesn't
disturb the operation of the gap too much.
