Jonathan,
For a number of the same caps in series, divide the capacitance of one cap
by the number of caps.

2* * = .075uf/ 4kv, 3* = .05uf/6kv, 4*= .0375/8kv, 5*= .03/10kv

I am close to first light on my first coil.

Pete

Howdy,

I could use a clue. Is this how gagning up caps works?

Assuming the GG caps (.15 uf, 2kv)

2* = .075uf/ 4kv, 3* = .0375uf/6kv, 4*= .0187/8kv

What I mostly want to know is if I have the voltage ratings right.

Thanks for bearing with the mathematically challanged.

Jonathan
