If A.C is put through water it is very insulating because the ions never
actually move anywhere...the electrodes keep oscilating between +ve and -ve
so the ions never move. I see the point, but you'd have to use platinum or
gold electrodes to avoid contamination of the water. and what type of
container would be used? it would have to be ultra-clean glass or something
to keep the water that pure!!
