I've tried 60 bps, and gotten about the same results as at 120 bps,
so I don't think it's very critical.  I've also considered that it is possible
that there's a certain bps in between that would be best, but I have
my doubts that it would matter.  When I went down to 30 bps, it was
very poor.  I don't think the coil's RF resonant frequency matters when
selecting the best breakrate for the coil.

I don't think the use of a DC power supply would make much 
difference overall.
