ok, this evening i got my first coil to work. ran it off a 12 kv-30 ma trannie. 6 inch sparks... but with a 6" coil and a 24" toroid i was expecting more. i had to ditch the toroid and go to a potatoe-shaped top load (which i affectionately dubbed potatoe of light). what should i do to increase my spark length???? more NSTs? what kind? oh ya nad i have a 6 pack-0-saltwater caps, 6 gap RQ style static.
