Dave, hope this helps out....Ohm's per 1000 feet at 20 C (68 F)

14 awg                              2.525                           
2.624 (7 wires total)

12 awg                              1.588                           
1.650 (7 wires total)

10 awg                               .9989                          
1.038 (7 wires total)

8 awg                                .6282                            
.6528 (7 wires total)

Solid wire would afford the least resistance at any given gauge. For RF
applications Litz wire is the best because each strand is individually
insulated (don't have the ohm values for litz wire though).
