Very true (unless you're greg leyh :-) - I designed my current coil from
this express premise - It has a 20 turn 3½ foot diameter primary.
Unfortunately this means when my new 0.2µF primary caps comes on stream it
will resonate at 20kHz, I'm sure it won't be *too* loud hehehehe......

You should always try to tune with the topload - for details of how to fine
tune using the Ctop see the earlier 'two toroid' thread.
