Hello, yup hydrogen is volitile however my experience with a hydrogen/oxygen
torch (used to make optical quartz,grow boules (crystals)) the air to fuel
ratio is quite fussy and can be hard to get going,but let hydrogen build up
where you dont want it and boom. as for an enclosed gap with no air is no
problem, remember ignition needs 3 things Heat oxygen and fuel. many of the
so called hydrogen gaps used alchohol as the source for hydrogen.a chemist
can tell you a lot more but look for some earlier post on this stuff.
