the aluminum wire seems more rigid because it has a single (what i think
is stainless steel) strand inside of it. this is for tensile strength to
take the load off of the copper cables in suspension. if you tried
cutting it with cable cutters you'll notice a very nice nick in the
blades. that 12 conductor 12 gauge wire should work great?
