Re: flexible ducting -- Source

A while back while trying to get a source for ducting, I found a company
with the following name and address:

Snappy
1011 11th Ave SE
Detroit lakes MN 56501
Phone: 218-847-9258 or 800-328-2044

They manufacture flex duct in 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,12,14,16, and 18 inch
diameters. I have purchased their 10" and 14" and had good success with
both. Simply call them and ask about a distributor in your area. It comes
in 8, 25 and 50 foot cartons.

Their duct is made with one end equipped with a formed diameter that will
plug into the ID of another piece. This can easily be cut off if not
required. I always used clear RTV to glue one end to the other. The
electrical connection was always achieved by laying some bare copper wire
from the toroid rim to the interior flat disc which is where I used the
flat foil covered insulation sheet. Good Luck.

Chuck
