   Thank you for the specs on the voltage handling capability of mylar 
insulation.  One of the other list members already gave me the DuPont web 
site address where the information is located.  One mil Mylar is able to 
withstand approximately 8000 volts AC at 60 hertz. I already have 30 pounds 
of magnet wire wound: the secondary bobbin.  It will probably take at least 
50 pounds of 24 guage wire to completely fill the winding window.
