Marco,

The smaller toroid is mounted directly on to the top of the secondary and is 
connected to the top lead wire - just standard mounting and connection for a 
single toroid.  The spacer that is made of an open cylinder of aluminum 
flashing (that is riveted together - or just tape works fine) then sits on 
top of the first toroid with the second toroid sitting on top of that.  The 
aluminum cylinder acts both as a spacer and means of electrical connection 
between the two.
