It looks like you got hard copper tubing by mistake - you need soft
copper for this job. You could soften this lot if you've got a furnace
to anneal ir (ie heat to redness, allow to cool slowly) or a blowtorch
and a lot of time. If you use wire use the thickest guage you can get.
4AWG is the thickest I've heard of.
