No argument with your statement, however I was
refering (perhaps not clearly) to the time associated
clamping the output (through grid / screen control).
Evidence indicates that longest sparks from tube
coils are obtained by an emulation of spark gap
 oscillators. Why? I have notions, but when I have
proof (theoretical and emperical) I will let the list
know.
