Variac-O-Rama a Success

On Dec the 9th several coliers assembled in at the Emery theatre in
Cincinnati, Ohio to remove many variacs from two old 1940's lighting
consoles for Tesla coil use. All in all we discovered eighteen 6000 watt
manual units, seven or eight 6600 watt motor driven units and four 3400
watt manual units. Neal and his partner from Charlotte N.C. and John
from Bond Hill, Cincinnati did the bulk of the work removing the variacs
from the 2 consoles. I watch from a distance as the wrenches and power
screwdrivers flew! I hope the variacs will make nice Christmas presents
for the coilers that made the trip.

Happy Holidays,
