To keep an ever open mind
Is wisdom's true advancer,
So they are Fools, who don't ask more
Than ten wise men can answer.

Your questions indicate you are thinking, and trying
on your own to be origional.

It's the 'hand me the world on a platter, so I don't
have to think' questions that grind folks on this
list ;'}

I've never heard of anyone trying yoke ferrites in a
choke, but as I'm fond of pointing out, give it a try
and see what happens.

Most things we use on Tesla coils are sub-optimal but
work just fine in practice.

I've often wondered if you could just crush old ferrites
in a cloth bag with a hammer, mix the powder with epoxie
glue and then mold into whatever shape you need. It might
work better than you'd guess, but I'd best take my own
advice and give it a try to see what happens. So many
ideas, so little time...

Experiment !
