If it did, it didn't change by much.  The spark growth seems
to 'take off' around 300 BPS.

It's not actually longer, since both toroids would produce ground
strikes averaging about 25ft long.  However the old toroid would
give a gnd strike maybe every 10 sec, where the new one will strike
about every 1-2 sec, and produces a pleasant 'ripping sound' when
doing so, especially when hitting dirt instead of pavement.

The best that this coil has ever done is 32ft, but that was at
38kVA, and with a longer secondary coilform that raised the 
electrode height to over 20ft, allowing longer arcs to develop.

In this test, the top electrode is an earthmover innertube
coated with foil, that is just over 8ft in outer diameter.
