Dryer-duct toroids

Hi all, Again,

My question is one that I am sure was asked 5yrs. ago but I wasn't on
the list then so here it goes.
If you use a large toriod to minimize the sharpness of the E-field to
the point on the rise of the voltage you get only one streamer and it will
be very large.
So if you choose dryer hose as a toroid, with all the ridges, these
ridges intensify the E-field and encourage early break down. This implelys
to make the discharge electrode (toriod) as smooth as possible to achieve
the maximum arc length of your machine.

Any comments; Please,
