	Your toroid is way way to small! On my 8" diameter coil I use
15" to 40" toroids. I would suggest that you start by building a
toroid that is 36" in diameter. The center portion of the toroid does
NOT have to be solid. I've used both aluminum bar stock to mount the
heater duct and a wood disk with a strip of aluminum tape to mount the
duct. Both work as well as my toroid that has a solid 24" steel disk
as it's center.
