	Dwight, if you are interested in a higher voltage, higher power xfmr
which *does* have the internal current limiting, you should look at William
Wysock's page at www.ttr-dot-com, under 'misc components.'  He has two dry-type
xfmrs, 20 kV 2kVA, with these.  They are a bit high ($280 each) - but they
have some pros, as well - like you don't have to worry about buying a bunch of
heating elements and building a big inductor (or kludging an old arcwelder!).
I found a real nice pig: rated 20.9 kV and 10 kVA - on the 280v outs on my 
variac, it should be good for over 24 kV out and do maybe 20 or 30 kVA for 
short spurts anyway.  For this pig, I had to give $250 bucks, plus $75 
shipping - and now I have to screw with ballasting it.  And I looked for a 
while before I found it.

	So, you see, the choice is kinda hard.
