Max,
   I found several electroless plating bath recipes for copper, nickel, and
silver.  If you are interested in these, write to me at hollmike-at-aol-dot-com and I
will send you copies of them.  I believe that any of these would serve your
purpose for at least getting a good conductive surface that could then be
electroplated.
