Hi Malcolm,
        I just wanted to mention what great stuff you have been doing!!!
Spark gaps still have many factors yet to be studied and these factors
appear to affect the system very dramatically.  Hopefully, we will soon
understand mutigap systems to such a degree that they can be designed for
optimal performance without trial and error testing every time.  My work has
been "slow" as of late but I am back at it now.  I am working on air flow
issues through the gap.  Not much to report yet.  I beleive that multigaps
can be designed to give excellent performance and deliver very high power
levels but there is much work to be done to determine the best designs.
Fortunately, we are all seeing the same effects independantly so the results
are very valid.  You are ahead of me, however, so lead on!!
