Given R. Hull's and your experiences with measuring RFI, 
it would seem that the radiation from a tesla coil is
almost entirely 'near-field', as opposed to the radiated
field from a quarter-wave antenna.

There is some hope then for future coils, if the RFI can
be counted on to die away within 100 coil lengths distant
from the TC.
