  It is a simple matter to measure K by several methods after the TC is built.

  The real challenge is to find the K of a Tesla coil at the design stage.
You can then design your coil to have the K you want.

  The JHCTES computer program can find the K of a Tesla coil without having
to build and test it first. It is the only program available today that can
do this. Are there any programs I am not aware of that are available?

Yes, but half the fun is building a coil that doesn't work and fixing it.
I learn more that way.
