Richard & All:

Yup, it sure did short.  I dug into it a bit two nights ago and it was a
pretty clear short between two turns.  Tomorrow I will be removing the
damaged turns and trying to do a repair.  I might remove 4-5 turns in
order to make sure I get it all and then do the best I can in laying in
the new wire.  I am wondering now what condition the PVC will be in
under the damaged wire--the Dremel tool will get some use!
