Re: My coil has 2' sparks/Primary placement



My trusty college Physics book, says that the strength of the magnetic
field in a solenoidal coil is relatively constant along its length, but
tapers off to about 1/2 at the ends.  So you should be able to about
double (or half) the coupling by moving the primary up/down a short
distance near the bottom of the coil.  My small (only) TC is also very
sensitive to the placement of the primary.
