It's not as good as solid section, litz etc, but not nearly as bad as
braid. Reasons: Current flow tries to follow the twists to less 
favourable orientations vs applied magnetic field so current will 
tend to traverse from one strand to an adjacent one. However, the 
twists are generally gentle so strand hopping, while it happens, 
doesn't happen all that often per unit wirelength. Not so braid :(
Here, strands are continually diving from outside to inside with the 
result that the current jumps from strand to strand in trying to
stay on the surface many many times for the same length. Braid 
effectively inserts a huge number of connections into the wire.
