Wow, what a great idea!  The period of the ring is ~13uS, which yields
a CW freq of 77kHz!  The energy stored in the ring is 220kJ, but the 
impedance is somewhat awkward -- 10GeV/3A equals 3.3 Gigohms.

This coil might end up having more turns on the primary than secondary!
