Could you be more specific about how you attach the toroid to the secondary
coil form and how to determine the best distance from the top turn?  Also how
do you establish contact between the top turn of the coil and the toroid?
 How does one determine both the width of the duct and the diameter of the
donut that will be best for a given coil?  I have been told that any rough
points on the toroid will cause sparks to preferentially jump from those
areas.  Is this true and beyond a custom, spun aluminum toroid are there any
tricks to this with less expensive materials?
