Chris,

Mylar or polyester is about k= 3 to 3.5.  It is terrible for Tesla
capacitor
construction and has huge dissapation losses of as much as 20% above
30Khz!!!!
Makes the best DC filter caps in the world!  Stay with polypropylene or
polyethylene.
