Helpfull suggestion: Put two earth conductors into the ground and measure the resistance between them. Consider the resistance to be combined resistance of two series resistors. Join the two conductors together, re-calculate, using the resistors in parallell formula. This should give a good approximation. Hope this works, I've not tried it myself, but I will be after my house is re-built. Julian Green.
