Well, I am using the 8 pieces for my 1kva TC now, but I plan to switch
these over to a large tc in the next few months.

I used 1/4"copper tubing as my primary conductor with
1/4"spacing. All of the triangles have 3 holes drilled in from the
bottom and were threaded to accept 10-32 plastic machine screws. I
drilled holes in the wood base that would screw into the triangles from
the bottom, using a template. I am hoping to get some pictures up on the
net in the next week. Remind me so I don't forget. I took me some time
to do this, but it was worth it. My system looks great and is
mechanically speaking extremely sturdy.

The american science center doesn't stock anything. You walk in a
bug what ever they have laying around. They do have a catalog of things
which they have thousands of in stock. Just go to ACE Hardware and buy a
3'x3' sheet of 1/4" polyproplyene.... Don't use plexiglass unless you
feel that you are a plastic wizard. Because it will crack if you try to
mill the stuff like it did. Believe me I know.. Oh one nice thing about
the American Science Center is that well let me put it this way. I only
paid $1 for the plastic sheet.
