Get a lot of mileage here out of Medhurst and Wheeler's long solenoid approximations. Seems to give SRF results within a couple of percent, and useful in initial design of coils. I've combined the wire tables into a Basic programw which works quite well on the Mac here. Also have more accurate inductane inductance programs and also a mutual inductance program. Ed Phillips
